When an existing  domestic property is sold or let there is a requirement by law that an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) is supplied by the seller or landlord of the property. The EPC provides an 'A' to 'G' rating for the building, with 'A' being the most energy efficient and 'G' being the least, with the national average being 'D'. An Accredited Domestic Energy Assessor is required to produce the EPC for the individual seller or agent. We have been producing EPCs in Brighouse, Halifax, Huuddersfield and surrounding areas since the outset of the EPC legislation in 2007.

We charge £45 (No Vat) for a completed EPC which includes lodgment of the certificate on the National Government database, irrespective of the size of the property.

A commercial building will need an Energy Performance Certificate when it is newly constructed, substantially altered, sold or let (in the latter case this must be before marketing begins.
